The new DC logo has been designed by branding agency Landor. At first glance I was underwhelmed by DC’s new branding, it has a rather corporate feel to it and I found the turn of the D (page) slightly old school like the 2.0 peeling stickers used on some sites.
Some people are saying that the peel of the logo represents a bi-gone age of comics and that new technologies could be better represented. I however, as a massive comic book fan, am glad that they have taken this route, representing pages does signify excitement to me, the excitement of what is on the next page of your newly (pocket money) bought comic book. It is great to see the DC logo in it’s modified forms taking characteristics of some of the DC characters as seen below. Can you guess which comic book they each represent?
